Internal combustion (IC) engine operating method e.g. for diesel and petroleum engines

The IC engine operating process is for an Otto cycle engine with a combustion chamber (1), an inlet valve (2) and an exhaust valve (3). The valve axes coincide with that of the chamber. There is also an injection device (4). The air is swirled and introduced into the chamber in rotary symmetry relative to its axis through an annular aperture. The fuel is introduced through the injection device onto the axis of the combustion chamber. For another variant of the Otto engine, an ignition device replaces the injection device.
