<p>A panelling system which is suitable for use as a large outdoor video screen or the like comprises a two-dimensional array (1) of glass panels (2). Each panel has corner regions (22) which meet at respective junctions (3) and the panels (2) are supported from the junctions (3). The system includes a plurality of elongate members (4), such as bolts, for supporting the panels (2) from the junctions (3). Each elongate member (4) passes through and is accommodated by a space (5) defined by the corner regions (22) of adjacent panels (2). Each elongate member (4) is secured and sealed against the panels (2) by a sealing cap (17) which seals the respective junction (3). The relatively small gaps between adjacent panels (2) are filled with a transparent filler (30). The panelling system can also be used for wall cladding and glazed wall construction.</p> |
