DEVICE MEASURING DENSITY

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device has leak-tight chambers which one wall is fabricated in the form of elastic membrane placed at different levels in examined medium. Common meter with meter pickup and recorder is connected to leak-tight chambers via flexible connecting tubes. Leak-tight chambers and their connecting tubes are filled with immiscible working means. Meter is manufactured in the form of measurement tube housing float. Measurement tube is installed outside examined medium on vertical scale stick having divisions marked on it. Spacing of these divisions corresponds to spacing of divisions on measurement tube. Reference density of float amounts to half- sum of densities of two immiscible working media filling leak-tight chambers, connecting tubes and measurement tube. Device has high measurement accuracy thanks to increased sensitivity in required range, process of re-adjustment of device to needed measurement range is simplified by vertical movement of measurement tube along scale stick. EFFECT: high measurement accuracy and simplified re-adjustment of device to needed measurement range. 3 dwge
