Washing and/or scouring device for manual use, consisting of a flat base comprising two symmetric, longitudinal and theoretically identical parts (A, B), held together by a hinge which represents the axis of symmetry of the device. Each of the parts ends in a longitudinal profile (M1, M2) having a semi-circular or related cross-section, which one come together to form the handle of the device. A sliding pad (t) is comprised of two rectangular sides of equal length and width which are superimposed and sown together along their lengths; said pad, once flattened, can be used on each of its two active sides. The device can be opened to 180 DEG by one of the above-mentioned longitudinal profiles. Irrespective of its position along its width, it is stopped at the hinge by the closing of the device which is pivotably attached to the handle.
