SUBSTANCE: electrochromic device deposited on substrate including electrochromic layer, counterelectrode layer and layer with ion conductance located between two specified layers and electrically insulating one from another. Layer with ion conductance has substantially homogeneous thickness over substrate and presents inorganic superstructure with bound organic material. Its microstructure facilitates transfer of ions. Process of manufacture of electrochromic device involves deposition of layer with ion conductance in the form of solution to substrate and formation of gel from mentioned solution.
