Tip on sample cards

To produce pattern cards, with tip-on samples of fabrics or film materials and the like, a double-sided adhesive strip with a protective film on both sides is placed on a perforated plate which is air permeable and transparent to light. An underpressure is developed under the perforated plate, and the suction holds the adhesive strip in place, and is bonded by the adhesive according to the screen pattern of the perforations. The strip is cut laterally into strips of equal width, or otherwise prepared for the particular samples. After the protective strip has been peeled off, the cut strips are fitted to sample cards. Also claimed is an appts. with an underpressure chamber, connected to an underpressure source, covered by a working plate with a light transparent plate with patterned perforations. The underpressure chamber has a lamp to illuminate the working plate from below.
