FIELD: transport engineering; electric drives of automobiles. SUBSTANCE: additional power sources are introduced into electric drive in which power windings of electric motor are connected to DC source through transistor switches and are shunted by diode in reverse direction. Number of additional power sources is less by one than number of transistor switches. Electric motor has parallel paths of power winding. Number of paths is equal to number of transistor switches. Each additional path is connected to additional power source through corresponding transistor switch and is shunted in reverse direction by additional diode.
