The setting system uses a fluid pressure circuit for selective inflation or deflation of a number of inflatable pockets (20-38) contained within the automobile seat, to match each seat occupant. The fluid pressure within the fluid pressure circuit is converted into a pressure signal supplied to a controller (60) for calculating the size of the seat occupant and providing corresponding setting signals for the fluid pressure circuit.
