<p>A crusher/shredder converts plastic or industrial waste/scrap, and partic. thermoplastic films, blow mouldings, tyres, glass etc. into pourable particles. It consists of >=2 rotary cutters in a housing, these being single separate cutters fixed on driven shafts in the path of the fed material. The two cutter shafts run in opposite directions, the teeth of the cutters point the same way, i.e. those on one cutter point in the feed direction whilst those on the other cutter point the opposite way, the former cutter acts as a shredder and at higher speed than the latter. Design provides simple construction, rapid operation, prevents pieces of fed material from resting suspended between the cutter blades.</p> |
