LUBRICATING OIL FOR COMPRESSION REFRIGERATORS, WORKING FLUID FOR REFRIGERATORS, AND METHOD FOR LUBRICATING REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

A lubricating oil for compression refrigerators which comprises as the base oil (a) a polyether wherein a plurality of hydrocarbon groups are bonded to the oxygen atoms of a residue of a tetrahydric or higher alcohol to form ether linkages, the carbon atoms of the hydrocarbon groups directly bonded to the oxygen atoms being each further substituted with two C1-C8 alkyl groups, and (b) an aromatic compound having a C8-C20 branched alkyl group, or which comprises the above polyether (a) as the base oil and 0.5 to 4.5 wt.% of a polyoxyalkylene; a working fluid for refrigerators comprising the lubricating oil and a hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant; and a method for lubricating a refrigeration system by compressing the refrigerant with the lubricating oil. The lubricating oil can inhibit the deposition in a refrigeration system, and is excellent in lubricating properties, moisture absorption, electrical characteristics and so on.
