The regulation method uses a digitally stored function held in an electronic memory (4), with clocked read-out of the function values, supplied as the required values (Usoll) to the regulation path (2). The latter provides the difference between the required value and an actual value (Uist), used for controlling the frequency of a voltage-controlled oscillator (6), controlling the read-out of the function values from the electronic memory.
