The invention relates to a winding receiver for storing individual sheets, in particular bank notes, between the coils of a strip winder machine (60), comprising a housing (10) with a through-opening for the individual sheets and, in the housing (10), a storage reel (14), a dispenser reel (20) and a reversible reel drive (32, 38, 58), for winding at least one storage strip (26) of the dispenser reel (20) onto the storage reel (14) and vice versa. Both reels (14, 20) are rotationally lodged in the housing (10) around a housing-integrated axis (18, 24). The drive device has an endless driving belt (46) which can be run via a motor (32), and which circulates completely on one side of the storage reel axis (18). The driving belt (46) surrounds, with a strand (58), the strip winder (60) of the storage reel (14) on part of its perimeter, and can be tensed by means of a tension adjusting device (56, 64, 68).
