<p>The plug and socket connector is sealed to withstand high water pressure. The housing of the plug and the socket are made from a rubber elastic material. When engaged the surfaces overlap with sealing rings fitted at the interface. The engaging ends of the plug and the socket are cylindrical and the outer surface of the socket forms an interface with the inner surface of the overlapping plug. The outer surface of the socket is made with a ring slot and a ring hump, with the slot nearer the front end. The external diameter of the plug coupling is made with a collar at the plug-in end. The outer surface beyond the collar first tapers in one direction and then in the other.</p> |
