The camper unit incorporates the base (6) which is placed on the ground behind the car and on which the kitchen/wash unit is placed. Access to the unit is via a rear door (1) which is positioned between the wash and kitchen sections. An adaptor (4), which is positioned between the unit and the car, is first placed against the rear of the car after the rear door or flap has been removed. The adaptors are made to suit the car with which the unit is used and provides an air- and water-tight connection. The kitchen/wash unit and the base can be folded for easy storage in the car
