A sandwich holder (10) comprises a pair of opposed portions (11) adapted to abut against a food substance such as a sandwich (13) or the like with the food substance positioned between the pair of opposed members (11) and a joining member (12) between the opposed members (11) to hold same in opposed formation. A deformable tongue (15) in the opposed members (11) allows for the person eating the sandwich to have easy access to the sandwich while the sandwich (13) is held therein.
