摘要 |
A novel magnetoresistive element includes: (a) a crystalline or amorphous, electrically conductive, magnetostrictive material (14) associated with an electrically insulating material (13) and an oxidic magnetoresistive material (12); or (b) an oxidic, electrically insulating, magnetostrictive material associated with an oxidic magnetoresistive material. Also claimed are: (1) a magnetic detection element; (2) a magnetic recording device capable of reading a magnetic signal, recorded in a magnetic recording support, by means of the above magnetic detection element; (3) magnetic detectors including the above magnetoresistive element and a system for current passage through and voltage detection in the oxidic magnetoresistive material; and (4) processes for using a magnetic detector in which an oxidic magnetoresistive material and a magnetostrictive material are mechanically bonded together to form a magnetic detector having a low magnetic field and high sensitivity and in which: (i) the magnetic transition temperature of the oxidic magnetoresistive material is regulated so that the detector can be used in the 50-400 K temperature range; or (ii) the detector is incorporated in a domestic or medical appliance. |
