The invention relates to a device for tying and holding a necktie, a shawl, a scarf or the like. The invention is characterized in that a solid hollow body, roughly corresponding in form and size to the knot of a tie, is formed by a cover plate (1) and a base plate (2) connected thereto. Two relatively narrow openings (b, c) and a large opening in the center area are provided in the upper lateral area of the base plate (2) or in the upper lateral transition between the base plate (2) and the cover plate (1).
