BRAKE LIGHT UNIT, SCREEN AND DATA-CARRYING FOIL FOR APPLICATION TO A BRAKE LIGHT UNIT

Brake light units are applied at the rear of vehicles, e.g. cars, trucks, etc., and serve as a warning for other road users coming from behind that the vehicle in question is slowing down or stopping. Nowadays, in addition to the two commonly used brake light units, a third brake light unit is used. A brake light unit comprises a housing with a translucent screen containing a light source, which can be controlled by using a brake-operating device of the vehicle. The invention offers a new brake light unit, which is equipped with means to represent data expressed either alphanumerically or graphically by intervention of the screen when controlling the light source.
