<p>A connector for an optical fiber cable has a housing divided into housing halves (15, 20), and a strain relief (1) encircling an optical fiber cable. The strain relief (1) has diametrically opposed shoulders (80, 80) spaced apart from an outwardly projecting shoulder (85) by a recess (100).
