<p>The invention relates to a control signal generator unit (1.4,4.6) for use in a video apparatus (1,4). The control signal generator unit (1.4,4.6) has a first terminal (1.8,4.13,10) coupled to a control signal terminal (1.7,4.9) of the apparatus, and an output terminal (1.9,4.15) for supplying a switching control signal for switching means (1.3,4.3) also provided in the apparatus. The control signal generator unit (1.4,4.6) is adapted to generate the switching control signal for the switching means (1.3,4.3), in response to a message frame applied to the first terminal (10). Further, the control signal generator unit is adapted to generate such message frame, for application to the first terminal (1.8,4.13,10).(Fig. 1,4) The control signal generator unit comprises a control unit (22) and an input-output circuit for coupling the control signal generator unit to line 10 of the SCART cable (fig.8).</p> |
