PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently operate a belt sander by arranging a part to guide a sand belt on this side of a rear area of a slender casing, and forming the wedged pointed end shaped contour whose center freely projects by turning forward, in a front area of the casing together with the sand belt. SOLUTION: A sliding shoe 33 has two grinding soles 133 and 233 on its wedged surface, and has direction changing roller pairs 31 by a connecting rod having a fork on this side of its pointed end. An adjusting head 139 to center a sand belt 20 is arranged in a front area of a longer casing shell 112. When the adjusting head 139 is rotated, the connecting rod having the fork having a shaft and the direction changing rollers 31 is turned in one direction or the other direction according to the rotational direction. |
