摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carbonic wet type friction material by which excellent friction coefficient and abrasion resistance are uniformly provided. SOLUTION: (1) One of this method for producing a carbonic wet type friction material comprises a step for impregnating thermohardening resin solution to plane cloth of carbon fiber and heating and hardening the impregnated thermohardening resin to provide a CFRP (a carbon fiber reinforced composite hardenable resin) sheet substrates, a step for processing the obtained CFRP sheet substrates like a segment, and a step for alternatively adhering segment-like CFRP sheet substrates having <10% porosity and segment-like CFRP sheet substrates having 10-20% porosity on a metal supporting plate. (2) The other of the method for producing the material also comprises a step for carrying out firing and carbonizing treatment of the segment-like CFRP sheet substrates in a nonoxidative atmosphere to provide a carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite (C/C) and a step for alternatively adhering the obtained C/C sheet substrates having <10% porosity and the C/C sheet substrates having 10-20% porosity on the metal supporting plate. Further, (3) alternatively the method also comprises a step for alternatively adhering the CFRP sheet substrates and the C/C sheet substrates so that the one substrate may have <10% porosity and the other substrate may have 10-20% porosity.
