PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for thermally treating organic wastes, etc., enabling to well carry out the so-called gas-solid contact of the organic wastes, etc., with an activation reaction gas such as a high temperature gas or stream to give the good product such as good activated carbon, when the raw material such as the organic wastes such as beer lees or carbides obtained by subjecting the organic wastes to a dry distillation treatment, etc., is thermally treated at the high temperature to obtained the product such as the activated carbon. SOLUTION: This device for thermally treating organic wastes or the like at a high temperature is obtained by disposing a raw material-feeding port 3a on one end of a thermally treating chamber 2 extended from the one end to the other end, disposing a product-discharging port 4a and a gas-exhausting port 5a, disposing a port 6 for blowing a hot gas into the thermally treating chamber, rotatably disposing a stirring shaft 8 to which many paddles 7 for stirring the raw material are attached at a space in the axial direction in a state that the inclination angle θ to the axis of the stirring shaft can be changed, disposing a steam-charging passage 10 in the stirring shaft in a state extended in the axial direction, disposing many steam-blowing nozzles 11 along the axial direction, and rotatably supporting the thermally treating chamber so that the angle of the axial direction of the chamber to the horizontal line can be changed. |
