PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strongly attach a covering to a base plate easily and reduce the manufacturing costs of an air bag device. SOLUTION: An air bag device 1 is configured so that an air bag, inflator, and a covering 12 are installed on a base plate 11. The covering 12 is structured so that a mounting piece 52 in the form of a polygonal cylinder is protruded downward on the undersurface of an enclosure part 51 for the air bag. From the undersurface of the enclosure 51, a guide rib 58 is protruded along the outside surface of each angle of the mounting piece 52. The base plate 11 is furnished with a peripheral plate part 22 having a U-section at the peripheral edge of the base board part 21. The peripheral plate part 22 is furnished with a locational receptacle 31 corresponding with the guide rib 58. When the covering 12 is put from above onto the base plate 11, the mounting piece 52 can be held in fitting on the peripheral plate part 22, and it is possible to accomplish location by inserting the guide rib 58 in the locational receptacle 31. |
