PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable change of a detectable amount of slippage of a register from a usual measure of several centimeters to a measure of a printed matter of one unit by providing a control means which receives the amount of slippage of the register as an input and outputs an operation amount and by conducting operations of inputting the operation amount and correcting the amount of slippage of the register. SOLUTION: A control means 14 receives the amount 18 of slippage of a register as an input and outputs an operation amount 19. Receiving the operation amount 19 as an input, a compensator (correcting means) 15 executes the operation of correction for making the amount 18 of slippage of the register zero. In a gravure printing press, for instance, this operation of correction is executed by increasing or decreasing a path length of printing paper between printing units. Besides, the operation of correction is executed by changing a phase of rotation of a plate cylinder, for instance, in an offset printing press. The correcting operations by the control means 14 and the correcting means after the amount of slippage of the register is detected are executed in usual ways. |
