PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scooter type motorcycle wherein improvement of outward appearance can be attained by enhancing an integral feeling in the periphery of a handle part, also even a handle cover can be protected with a grip part by a grip guard. SOLUTION: In a scooter type motorcycle binding a handle in an upper end of a steering shaft covered with a handle cover 24, a grip guard 26 covering the forward of a grip provided in both ends of the handle is mounted so as to partially overlap with the handle cover 24 as viewed by front. Since the grip guard 26 is mounted so as to partially overlap with the handle cover 24 as viewed by front, an integral feeling in the periphery of a handle part is enhanced, outward appearance is improved, also by the grip guard 26, even the handle cover 24 can be protected with a grip part.
