COMPLEX TITANIUM COMPOUND POWDER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce powder comprising plural kinds of crystals of perovskite type compounds RTiO3 (R is an alkaline earth metal) having different alkaline earth metal elements without using a flux component by firing treatment within a comparatively low temperature region. SOLUTION: A mixed powder of titanium oxide (TiO2 ) and two or more kinds of alkali metal oxides (RO) (or compounds forming the oxides by heating) in the mol ratio TiO2 /RO of 1 is granulated, and firing treatment of the obtained granule is carried out at about 900-1250 deg.C to precipitate and form plural kinds of crystals of perovskite type compounds. A powder comprising particles obtained by combining plural different kinds of the crystals of the perovskite type compounds is obtained by carrying out cracking treatment of the fired material by a vibrating screen, etc.
