<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve gas separation performance with simple constitution in a pressure swing adsorption device equipped with two or more adsorbing column and plural automatic valves by controlling the transfer quantity and the transfer velocity of gas in an individual operation in a pressure swing adsorption method by the pulse opening and closing operation of the automatic valves. SOLUTION: In a pressure swing adsorption device equipped with two or more adsorbing column 10a, 10b, if a parameter is taken as opening timeΔt of automatic valves 1a-5a, 1b-5b, 6, a timewise change of differential pressure in the adsorbent column corresponding toΔt is measured to graph it. Next, ifΔti when the graph shows sinusoidal waves is taken as pulse time, the gas transfer quantity corresponding toΔti is taken as Vi, and a value of semiwavelength time of sinusoidal waves minusΔti is taken asΔZi, by a valve sequence ofΔt1 -ΔZ1 -Δt2ΔZ2 ...Δti-ΔZi (valve open time-time relationship), the gas transfer quantity (ΣVi) and the gas transfer velocity (ΣVi/Σ(Δti+ΔZi)) required for an individual operation is controlled.</p> |
