PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an occupant restraint system used for an automobile occupant and having a restraint action dramatically superior to that of conventional ordinary restraint system. SOLUTION: The device has a belt web 3, a belt retractor 5, a belt buckle 13, an inserting strip 11, two belt tensioners (one is a retractor tesnioner 7; and the other is a buckle tensioner 17), and at least one control unit 21 connected to the belt tensioners 7, 17. The control unit 21 under a restraint state actuates the belt tensioners 7, 17. In this case, a tensioner for an end installing tool may be provided instead of the buckle tensioner. |
