PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print controlling method and apparatus for predicting and informing whether consumable material and/or recording medium is wasted or not in a printer during its printing job in the case of issuing the job to the printer, and a printing system. SOLUTION: When a print job is designated, a toner consuming amount necessary to execute it is analyzed (S301), toner residue at present time point is inquired to a printer, and the residue is obtained in the printer according to a reply from the printer (S302). This residue is compared with a toner consuming amount analyzed at the S301 (S303), when the residue is insufficient at present time, an error message is displayed to inform it to an operator (S305), and at the time of not the insufficient residue, the printer is used to execute printing (S304). |
