<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope robot to be inserted into a body cavity, or a tubular cavity such as a colon in execution of diagonosis or surgical treatment by use of an endoscope to move in a predetermined direction by similar action to that of a looper. SOLUTION: An endoscope robot 1 designed to be inserted into a body cavity of a patient to move in a predetermined direction by similar action to that of a looper comprises a length changeable segment 2, and suction means 12, 13 to selectively generate vacuum pressure between the robot 1 and the body cavity at end parts 3, 4. The vacuum pressure is the one sufficient to generate substantial anchor action to a body cavity wall, thereby looper-like action is provided, while such a pushing action to the patient as to give uncomfortable feel and pain to the patient is eliminated.</p> |
