PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose hollow fiber membrane having a high water permeating rate and sharp cut-off property for a solute, and to provide its producing method. SOLUTION: This cellulose hollow fiber membrane has <=0.25 sieve factor (A) for albumin, >=0.35 sieve factor (B) forβ2 -microglobulin, and >=15 ratio of B/A. The cellulose hollow fiber membrane is produced by injecting a spinning source liquid containing a mixture of a cellulose ester, N-methylpyrrolidone andγ-butyrolactone into a gas atmosphere to form a hollow shape and introducing the injected fiber into a solidifying bath to solidify. Preferably, the cellulose ester is cellulose acetate, the proportion of cellulose acetate in the spinning source liquid is 15 to 50wt.%, and the weight ratio of N-methylpyrrolidone toγ-butyrolactone in the mixture solvent is 1:9 to 9:1.
