PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve light resistance of a recorded image and unrecorded part or particularly light resistance of a recorded image with magenta ink by recording, on an ink jet recording sheet containing a compound to be represented by a specific formula, with an aqueous ink. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet for forming a recording image by using aqueous ink contains at least one type of compound represented by a formula (where R1 indicates a hydrogen atom, methyl group, tert-butyl group, y indicates O, NH, R2 indicates 1-6C alkylene group, R3 , R4 , R5 each indicates hydrogen atom, 1-4C alkyl group, 2-hydroxyethyl group, X indicates organic or inorganic anion). A content of the compound represented by the formula in the sheet is suitably 0.1 to 3g/m<2> . If it is less than 0.3g/m<2> , light resistance improving effect becomes insufficient, whereas if it is more than 3g/m<2> , image quality is lowered unpreferably. |
