摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately inspect an abnormality with ease without forcing an inspector to exert a precise steering input, and also without introducing highly advanced systems. SOLUTION: This device allows a four wheel steering device 3 to be a subject of inspection, which steers so as to control rear wheels 33 and 33 while vehicle velocity V, yaw rateψ', front wheel steering angleθF and steering angular velocity are made control parameters. A unit check of each sensor 41 through 44 is made before inspection is performed. The inspection signal of 10Hz is outputted from an inspection unit 51 to the control unit of an automobile 2 over a production line 1 so as to be switched over to inspection steering control executing steering control on rear wheels where vehicle velocity and front wheel steering angle except yaw rate and angular velocity are used as control parameters. An steering input for fully steering front wheels 31 and 31 to the right and left, is exerted by letting an inspector operate a steering wheel. A rear wheel steering angle is actually measured by a rear wheel steering angle measuring means 52 so as to be compared with a reference value based on inspection steering control. After an line inspection has been over, it is judged by a fuel check for a yaw rate sensor 42 whether or not a wiring condition is unusual.
