摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and simply obtain the subject compound through the reactions that can be utilized in the synthesis of a polymeric organosilicon compound by allowing a specific hydrosilane to react with an acetylenic compound of low bromine content in the presence of a metal oxide. SOLUTION: A hydrosilane of formula I (n is 1-4; R<1> is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aryl, an alkoxy, an acyl or amino) and an acetylenic compound of formula II (R<2> is H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl, an aryl, silyl, an acyl or cyano) with a bromine content of <=1.2wt.% are allowed to react with each other in the presence of a metal oxide to inexpensively and simply prepare the objective ethynylsilane. The reaction of a hydrosilane bearing 2 or more Si-H bonds in its molecule with an acetylenic compound bearing 2 or more H-C=C bonds in its molecule in the presence of a metal oxide affords a polymeric organosilicon compound.
