The projections 4c may be apart from each other apart specified spacings or may be attached to each other. The projections 4c which are attached to each other in some parts and are parted from each other in the other parts are equally well. When a player hits this golf ball, the energy transmitted from the outer cover is more rapidly transmitted into a core 4a than the ordinary golf ball having the inner cover of a specified thickness.
