Equipment for the treatment of olive pulp for the extraction of olive oil. At the outlet 9 from the mixer stage an elevator 10 causes the mass to rise towards a distributor 11 which feeds a set of hoppers or vertical tanks 12 which in turn deliver the olive pulp to the settlers 13, the height of the tanks 12 being sufficient for the working pressure at the inlet to the settlers 13 to be purely gravitational. This pressure is maintained constant through the fact that the mass distributor 11 has an overflow 16 through which the surplus mass of pulp returns to the mixer stage, the mass reaching the said distributor 11 being greater than that consumed by the settlers 13 so that the vertical hoppers or tanks 12 are kept full at all times and as a consequence the pressure at the outlet from them is constant. <IMAGE>
