The vehicle has a platform (1) mounted on wheels and has panels (2,3,4,5,6,7) for extending the width of this platform. There are also panels (8,9) for extending the length of the platform. At least one panel is articulated on another panel. A support system which supports the widened platform is retractable under the platform. A jack installed under the cover can also be retracted. The jack comprises a cylinder which slides in a base plate and is connected at its upper end by two articulations to two cylindrical arms.
