A bulked multifilament yarn has at any one. point certain filaments with sinusoidal crimp of only one frequency, other filaments with a sinusoidal crimp of only a second frequency, and the remainder of the filament with one crimp superimposed on the second crimp. The relative proportions of the two crimps along the yarn may vary. The yarn may be crimped as in Specification 1,172,361 by two pairs of gear wheels, one pair having a different number of teeth per inch than the other pair. The filaments may be composed of nylon, polyester, polypropylene, or cellulose acetate. |
