Pump used with an injection syringe having the usual plunger (10) includes a leadscrew (2) and a casing (23) with attachments for the syringe (9, 10) and a leadscrew drive (1). The sliding carriage (5) has a leadscrew nut (3) moved linearly, with a holder for a section (10a) of the piston rod (10). Leadscrew and nut engage continuously. A coupling mechanism prevents or decouples drive when required.
