摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve charging effect particularly in a low engine speed area by setting an intake system such that a synchronization point of an inertial effect or resonance effect is in an engine speed area in the vicinity of an intercepting point where supercharge pressure control is begun. CONSTITUTION:In an in-line four-cylinder engine 1 horizontally boarded in an engine room, a partition wall 8 is formed in a discharge manifold 4 to divide discharge passages 7a to 7d connected to the cylinders into two groups, which passages are connected to a turbine 9 of a supercharger 6 in each group. Independent intake pipes 3a to 3d at every cylinder are connected multiple intake pipes 16a, 16b on the downstream side. Namely the respective pairs 3a to 3b of the cylinders whose ignition orders are not in sequence are connected thereto. The pipes 3a to 3d are also connected to a blower 10 of a supercharger 6 through a throttle body 15, an upstream side multiple pipes 14a, 14b, an intercooler 12, and an intake pipe 13. In this intake system, a synchronization point of an inertia or resonance effect of intake air is set to come in an engine speed area in the vicinity of an intercepting point.</p>
