A support plate (65) is mounted on the tractor housing and is located in an opening (57) which is formed in the upper side of the tractor housing. The opening is formed at the upper side of the tractor housing and is covered by the lift housing (13). A rotatable pin (68) is provided for taking the power from the lift housing. The pin is supported in the housing and is connected to a power transmission shaft (34) by a gear connection (60-62). The power transmission shaft axially extends along the length of the vehicle body to a point underneath the opening (57).
