The holder has a frame (3) for direct or indirect stable support on the wheel rim (5) of the motor vehicle (2). The frame has two diametrically opposed arms (13,14) on the outer ends of which are hooks (15,16) to engage in the profile of a tyre (17). Their inner ends are connected to the end pointing away from the frame of a single arm lever (7,8) by rotary bearings (11,12). The other end of the lever is connected to the frame by a hinge (20,21) and tension spring (22,23). Means are provided for clamping the lever radially inwards. Spiral coiled springs (33,34) are operated by nuts (31,32). The single arm levers are prestressed outwardly by centring springs which have the same strength and characteristics and are supported on a central point of the frame. |
