FURNITURE FOOT ASSEMBLY

A foot assembly has a sleeve assembly for frictionally engaging an end of a holl ow tube. The sleeve assembly has like half sleeve sections and each of the sleeve s ections has a series of ridges on an inner concave surface. The series of ridges present a d ouble entry thread when the half sleeve section are facing each other. The foot assembly has a base assembly which has a shank having a series of ridges on an outer circumferential surface thereof. The series of ridges on the shank are arranged in a double entry thread pattern complementary to the thread pattern of the sleeve sections. The foot assembly is extensible by rotating the base assembly relative to the sleeve sections.
