<p>A needle-less fluid transfer device for transferring fluid from a first receptacle to a second receptacle, the device includes a housing, a valve and a restoring member. The housing has a channel and is adapted to couple with the first receptacle and the second receptacle free of the use of needles. The channel in the housing facilitates fluid communication between the first receptacle and the second receptacle. The valve is movably disposed in the channel of the housing. The restoring member is coupled to the housing and the valve to generate a restoring force to maintain the valve in a closed position when the second receptacle is decoupled from the housing. The restoring force of the restoring member is overcome and the valve is moved to an open position when the second receptacle is coupled to the housing. The restoring force of the restoring member restores the valve to the closed position when the second receptacle is decoupled from the housing.</p> |
