<p>A modular housing for data storage apparatus comprises a first side unit (1) providing a first side wall (2) of the housing and a second side unit (1') providing a second side wall (2') of the housing. An intermediate unit (10) provides an intermediate wall (11) of the housing between and substantially parallel to the first and second housing side walls. Connecting means (16, 17, 18 and 19) are provided for connecting the intermediate unit optionally to the first side unit or to the second side unit or to a further intermediate unit (10) which may be positioned between the first intermediate unit and the first or second side unit, so as to increase the width of the modular housing. The housing is produced from a small number of different shapes of component, each side unit being substantially identical and each intermediate unit being substantially identical.</p> |
