<p>A medical syringe (10) for collecting blood samples is provided, comprising a cylindrical body (12) having an open end and a closed end. A plunger assembly (20) including a piston is slidably inserted into the open end, defining a fluid chamber (30) between the piston face and the closed end. A distal opening in the closed end provides passage between the syringe (10) and a patient, and includes a restriction therein. A conduit (32) extends from the fluid chamber through the plunger assembly (20) to a tube holding device (40) or may extend peripherally from the cylindrical body to the tube holding device.</p> |
