<p>The present invention relates to an auxiliary device (1) and a method for lifting and placing a building component (2), said building component (2) comprising a core layer lined from both of its wide sides with sidings which extend over at least one edge surface of said modular building component (2) so as to form a joint structure that partially covers said core layer, said auxiliary device including a clamp adapted to grip the siding of said modular building component in a locking manner at the area of said joint edge. The auxiliary device is implemented so that the frame of the auxialiary device (1) comprises at least one side support (5), connectable to a lifting attachment and serving to support one side of the modular building component, and further comprises, orthogonally connected to said side support, a component edge support beam (6) to which said at least one component edge clamp (3) is mounted. By virtue of the side support (5) of the auxiliary device (1), the lift/support point of the building element can be shifted close to the center of gravity of the building element (2) in order to facilitate controlled lifting and easy placement of the building component.</p> |
