The storage device is for a printing press. The material can be supplied to form a stack. There are stops for the front edges and successive side stops consisting of connected stop sectors, one of which is fixed and the other (3.2) can be varied in length. The fixed stop sector has a fixed first link and a second link. These links form application points for the variable-length stop sector and are coupled to a series of sprung double stops (19-22). When the variable-length sector moves, the turning links (24-26) of the double stops can be moved horizontally by the first link.
