Described is a covering system for agricultural soils, specially the earth embankments used to grow asparagus, comprising at least one covering element (1) embodied as a two-pieced strip, wherein a dividing line (T) runs substantially in the direction of the embankment, and the closing members (2, 3) are connected in material and/or positive fit to the opposite-lying rims of the covering elements (1) or are shaped on the covering elements (1) and form a reciprocal positive and/or material fitting nondestructive, detachable and recloseable connection.
